Leshan: The Essential One

Bifengxia: The Local Knowledge Pick
Bifengxia is the day trip most foreign travelers never hear about. 100 km southwest of Chengdu. Panda conservation base in mountain forest, far fewer crowds than the Chengdu base. Ya’an is frequently rainy. Add Niubei Mountain (牛背山) for cloud sea views on clear mornings after rain.
